Dreaming God's Dreams

The prophet Joel declared a powerful promise from the Lord: “In the last days, I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh. Your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.” What a beautiful vision of a Spirit-filled people, living with hearts full of love, peace, and grace.

As I prepare to rest for the night, I’m planning on dreaming dreams—dreams from the Lord, about the Lord, and for the Lord. Dreams that fill me with His love for everyone, everywhere. And this is my dream: that we, as followers of Christ, would be known for our love—unconditional, wholehearted, joyful love.

Imagine a people known for loving everybody, accepting anybody, and forgiving all who may have wronged us. That’s the heart of Jesus, and it’s the dream I carry in my heart for the body of Christ. To love, accept, and forgive without hesitation or condition, to radiate the kindness of Jesus to everyone we meet.

What a dream! A people of God who overflow with love for one another, showing the world the heart of Christ. I believe that dream is becoming reality, for me and for you. So as you rest tonight, may the Lord fill your dreams with His Spirit, and may you wake up tomorrow with love in your heart, ready to spread peace, grace, and kindness throughout your day.

God bless you as you love, accept, and forgive. Laugh your way through the day and radiate the joy of Christ to all you meet. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen and Amen.
