God's Loving Promises

Genesis 35:11-12 - "Then God said, 'I am El-Shaddai—‘God Almighty.’ Be fruitful and multiply. You will become a great nation, even many nations. Kings will be among your descendants! And I will give you the land I once gave to Abraham and Isaac. Yes, I will give it to you and your descendants after you.'"

Have you ever made a promise to your friend, like promising to share your lunch or play a game together? Well, Genesis 35 shows us how God made a BIG promise to Jacob.

Jacob had been on a big journey full of ups and downs, but God had a special message for him. He reminded Jacob that He is El-Shaddai, which means 'God Almighty'. He promised that Jacob's family would grow into many nations and kings, and that they would have a special land to live in. Wow, that's an amazing promise!

God's promise was like a parent promising a kid an amazing birthday party. But, God's promise was even better because God never breaks His promises! And you know what? God has promises for us too. He promises to love us always, to be with us, and to listen when we pray.

So the next time you're feeling down or scared, remember God's promises. Talk to Him, because He's always there, just like He was there for Jacob. With God, we're never alone, and that's a promise you can always count on!
